Combining re-writeable DVD-RAM optical disc archival technology with Asaca's state-of-the art robotics and easy to use software, the RA-Series Video Archive provides the ultimate in flexible operation with an affordable, open-architecture which is an easily expanded solution for today's demanding digital video applications. As a departure from the traditional linear playlist approach, the video archive gives you numerous options that are ready to run at the touch of a key.

The RA-Series video archive features "confidence monitoring" : the ability to immediately monitor files while they are being recorded, and play back one to four streams simultaneously. Its embedded, centralized storage means you can play back clips on any channel immediately after recording with no transfer delays, caching or unnecessary file duplication.Manual or automatic online/near-line storage management reduces overall system management. The system provides the flexibility for easy-to-use multiple playlists based on last-minute changes in scheduling, programming or content flow.

The RA-Series video archive is a completely modular system. Starting with a single cabinet, systems can be expanded both in archival storage content, archival stream capacity as well as number of playback channels, dozens of encode/playback workstations and thousands of hours of video storage.
